Brazilian striker Matheus Saldana has joined Al-Wasl on loan from Hungarian club Ferencváros for €5 million. In the current season with Al-Wasl, Saldana played in 14 matches for a total of 831 minutes, scoring one goal and receiving one yellow card without any red cards, which reflects his regular participation despite limited goal production. Saldana is 26 years old, plays as a center-forward, and has extensive experience in European and Asian leagues before arriving in the UAE; he played for Ferencváros in Hungary, Neftchi in Azerbaijan, Qingdao Jonoon in China, as well as periods in the Japanese league with JEF United Chiba.
