Member of the board of directors of the football club 'Shardja', Jamal Bokhodi, stated that the referee of the match between his team and the guests 'Al-Ahli' in the sixth round of the Professional League OAA 'Adnok' Ahmed Salem 'was not decisive', due to mistakes made by him during the game, which ended with a victory for 'Dubai Knights' 2-1. 'Front runners' lead the tournament table with 18 points, while 'Shardja' remains at 15 points.
Bokhodi emphasized that it is important to maintain composure in such moments and continue to work in the same direction to overcome the consequences of the defeat. 'The match was anticipated between the two major teams, in the first half 'Shardja' played brilliantly, but encountered complex situations due to the referee's unsuccessful decisions,' he said.
He added that they always support Arab referees, as one referee can manage the match well, while another time it's unsuccessful.
"At 'Shardja' there are experienced players who won’t let the first defeat in the season affect them. The road is still long, and we have enough time to correct the situation," said Bokhodi. "It’s also worth noting that we played a strong and organized team on their field, and we demonstrated a good first half. In the second half, there were several unprecedented interventions from the referees".
Regarding the incident that led to the removal of his player from the room of the local arena Olari Koemina, Bokhodi said: "Any problem arising in matches is usually a result of a minor spark. And the removal of the referee was related to the actions of the player from 'Al-Ahli' Sardor Azmun, who came to dismiss the incident before the marker 'Shardja', and because of that, the referee was removed only in response to the player’s actions."
