In September of last year, a record high level of prices for consumer goods was recorded in the United Arab Emirates.
Exports indicate that the main reasons for the increase in prices in the country were the rising cost of transportation, the "food and beverages" group, and housing.
Official statistics show that the consumer price index in September compared to August rose by 0.5%, while compared to September of the previous year - by 1.5%.
Furthermore, the cost of communication services decreased by 0.9%, while prices for clothing and shoes remained stable.
In this regard, the head of the statistics office in the country noted that the largest contribution to the increase in the index came from the categories of "transportation", "food and beverages", and "housing, water, electricity".
