
During the fifth campaign "The Most Beautiful Winter in the World" in the United Arab Emirates, positive results were achieved. The handover from the hotel industry in the country during this period amounted to around 1.9 billion dirhams, which is 86.9% higher than the results of the fourth campaign. The total number of guests from the hotel industry in the country exceeded 4.4 million people, which indicates an increase of 62% compared to the results of the previous campaign. The occupancy rate in hotels reached 74%.
The announcement of the completion of the fifth campaign was made by the Ministry of Economics. The campaign started on December 16 and lasted six weeks under the slogan "Green Tourism." Within the framework of the campaign, collaboration took place between the Ministry of Economics, the National Agricultural Center, and local tourism organizations.
The words of Minister Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri: "This campaign reached 224.7 million people worldwide. The total number of people who learned about the campaign over its five years amounted to more than 1.2 billion people. This helps strengthen the positive image of the United Arab Emirates as a leading global tourist destination and enhances efforts to develop the tourist sector in the country."
The tourism sector of the United Arab Emirates continues to show positive results. The handover from the hotel industry in the country amounted to 37.1 billion dirhams for the period from January to October 2024, which is 4% more than during the analogous period in 2023. The occupancy rate of hotels amounted to about 78% for the first ten months of the previous year, which is 2.7% more than during the same period in 2023. The total number of guests in the hotel industry across all seven emirates reached about 24.9 million people, increasing by 9.5%, while the total number of such establishments in the country amounted to about 1,246 units by October of the previous year.
