UAE Expands Visa-on-Arrival for Indian Nationals

The United Arab Emirates is expanding its visa-on-arrival program for Indian nationals. This new initiative includes Indian citizens holding valid visas, residence permits, or Green Cards from six new countries - Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. This move aims to strengthen the relationship between the UAE and India by facilitating travel and boosting tourism.

According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, this expansion is part of efforts to attract skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and top talent while solidifying the UAE's position as a global hub. The visa-on-arrival program will be implemented starting from the 13th of February 2025.

To be eligible for the visa-on-arrival program, Indian citizens must have a passport validity of at least six months and pay the prescribed fees in compliance with the relevant regulations. This development underscores the UAE's commitment to fostering partnerships with nations like Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

In a statement, the authorities emphasized the importance of this initiative in promoting cross-border exchanges and enhancing connectivity between the UAE and these new countries. This decision is expected to facilitate smoother travel processes and drive greater engagement between Indian nationals and the UAE.
