UAE Maintains High Trust Levels in Global Rankings

Trust in the government and companies in the UAE remains at the highest level, while many countries in the world experience an ongoing decline in trust levels due to the spread of misinformation and high living costs caused by inflationary processes.

According to the "Edelman Trust Index 2025", the UAE maintains its leadership as a center of stability, benefiting from high trust in sectors of government and business. This stands in stark contrast to the global trend of declining trust, which has been experienced during the crisis in practically all countries of the world.

The survey was conducted in the form of an online poll among 33,000 people from 28 countries between October 25 and November 16, 2024. The results of the trust survey in the UAE reached 82%, while the global average trust in governments was only 52%.

In the UAE, there is also a high level of trust in companies, considered to be unique institutions in which one can rely upon in the world. 76% of respondents in the UAE expressed confidence in the ability of companies to act honestly.

The research also showed that teachers (85%), local colleagues (79%), and MSME companies enjoy the highest trust among people in the UAE. 60% of respondents from the country believe that future generations will live in better conditions, which significantly exceeds the global indicator by 36%.

The president of the "Edelman" company in the UAE, Omar Korm, emphasized that the success of the UAE in maintaining a high level of trust is connected with their effectiveness and honesty, as well as transparency. He noted that the UAE represents reliable informational sources, unlike many other countries.

As a result of all polls and studies over the years, the UAE has shown an astonishing history of success, maintaining a high level of trust over the last decades. This distinguishes it from most countries in the world that are struggling with a crisis of trust and optimism.

"Edelman Trust Index 2025" emphasized that global trust is in crisis due to the fragmentation of society, a lack of reliable information and beliefs that systems act against people's interests.

"Edelman Trust Index 2025" is an annual study conducted for 25 years to measure the level of trust and transparency.
