
As part of the new policy in the United Arab Emirates, 9 main consumer goods have been identified, including cooking oil, eggs, dairy products, rice, sugar, chicken, legumes, bread, and fish. Additionally, these goods include some related commodities. The three ministries made a decision within the framework of this new policy, which aims to regulate the new pricing policy, contributing to strengthening the consumer protection system, ensuring market stability, and normalizing relations between the interested parties in the country's markets. The Emirates began implementing the new pricing policy through the Ministry of Economy, which includes 9 types of essential consumer goods. The goal of this initiative is to stimulate competition and protect consumers in the country's markets. This new policy came into effect at the beginning of the current year, 2025.
