The company "Dnata Travel" announced a significant increase in bookings for international trips in connection with the readiness of residents of the UAE to take vacations during the holiday of Nauryz-Bairam and the spring holidays. In its statement, issued yesterday, it noted that 90% of clients chose overseas trips in 2025, representing a significant growth compared to previous years, reflecting an increasing interest in traveling abroad during the holiday season. "Dnata Travel" reported: "Bookings for Nauryz-Bairam 2024 were more balanced, with 60% of travelers choosing international destinations, while 40% preferred to vacation within the country." This growth is attributed to overseas trips, according to experts from "Dnata", due to the overlap of the holiday of Nauryz-Bairam with two extended spring weekends, which provides families with the opportunity to extend vacations and explore new places.
According to "Dnata Travel", the number of bookings for both overseas and domestic trips increased by 65% compared to the Nauryz-Bairam holiday in 2024, while the Maldives, Spain, Mauritius, France, and Sri Lanka topped the list of the most popular destinations, while Vietnam, Japan, Italy, and Switzerland showed the highest annual growth in tourism.
Mira Katit, head of the sales department of tour programs at "Dnata Travel", stated: "The tourism sector in 2024 and 2025 is observing an increase in interest in distant destinations, where travelers opt for extended stays in new locations, with heightened attention to exploring less frequented sites compared to popular tourist spots."
To satisfy the growing demand, "Dnata Travel" introduced special travel packages for UAE travelers, with the option for bookings in Nauryz-Bairam and extended spring vacations in March and April. Some of the main offers include luxurious stays in four- and five-star hotels in nearby destinations, such as the Maldives and Cyprus, as well as in distant locations, such as Mauritius, Spain, Bali, and Hong Kong.
Among the featured offers - four-day stays in water villas at the "Sun Siyam Olhuveli" resort in the Maldives, all-inclusive packages, flights there and back, transfers between islands, and a special offer for infants, with prices starting from 6790 dirhams per person.
Also included in the offers are luxurious three-night stays at the "The Kayana" resort in Bali, accommodation in deluxe villas with private pools, flights there and back, as well as an all-inclusive package for two people, with prices from 3840 dirhams per person.
