The UAE and Philippines' civil aviation authorities held talks, leading to an agreement for additional air rights. This allows UAE carriers to operate more flights to Manila, enhancing connectivity and showing strong bilateral cooperation.


UAE and Philippines Agree to Expand Air Connectivity

The General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines have held a round of air transport negotiations between the two countries. During the consultations, the requirements for air transport and ways to enhance joint air links were discussed. These consultations resulted in an agreement to grant the United Arab Emirates additional air traffic rights, which will allow the national carriers of the Emirates to operate additional flights to Manila. This will enhance air connectivity, meet the growing demand for travel, and reflect the depth of strong ties in the aviation sector between the two countries. Said Saeed Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority: 'This step embodies the close cooperation between the UAE and the Philippines'.
