Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Masdar, stated that the UAE, thanks to the leadership's vision, is focused on providing energy to support economic growth, which is now driven by artificial intelligence. He emphasized that the country is keen on building and enhancing partnerships, focusing on peace, coexistence, and work, and advancing with confidence as it knows its goals and believes that the future is shaped through wisdom, good governance, and hard work. Al Jaber noted that in the past, economic growth was measured by the size of industrial capabilities, but today it is measured by computing capabilities and digital potential that require energy sources. He added that oil and gas will remain the primary source for over 70% of required supplies, and their measurement is now, for the first time in history, dependent on digital capabilities that need energy. Al Jaber stressed that artificial intelligence is reshaping the structure of industries and sectors, opening new horizons for global growth, and that amidst global variables, the only constant is the need for energy. He called on CEOs, tech experts, investors, and policymakers to leverage the advantages the UAE offers to attract serious partners: stability, wise leadership, long-term vision, clear policies, advanced logistics and financial services, and smart capital. He confirmed that the country provides energy resources, advanced infrastructure, and a system that allows for easy business practices based on institutional governance and the rule of law. In conclusion, Al Jaber highlighted the importance of the Zayed Sustainability Award in preserving the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who taught us that the primary criterion for progress is human dignity, and that leadership is measured not by wealth and power but by the positive impact on people's lives. He stated that the impact of this award is clear and effective, reaching over 400 million people worldwide, and that it is not a symbolic award but a recognition of practical efforts focused on humanity.
