UAE Hospitality Council Discusses New Initiatives for Sector Growth

The Hospitality Advisory Council held its first meeting for 2026, chaired by Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, with the participation of representatives from the public and private sectors. The council reviewed new tourism initiatives and their pivotal role in enhancing the growth and sustainability of the UAE's hotel sector. Abdulla bin Touq affirmed that, thanks to the wise leadership, the hospitality sector continues to achieve advanced growth rates and is one of the main pillars for enhancing the competitiveness of the national tourism system. He noted that the hotel occupancy rate in the country reached 79.5% between January and November 2025, alongside an increase in the average length of stay to 3.42 nights. The council's priorities for the current year will focus on enhancing the efficiency of revenue management and flexible pricing strategies to maximize hotel and tourism revenues, and ensure the strong performance of the hospitality sector.
