According to a report by EY, the Middle East and North Africa region witnessed significant growth in merger and acquisition activity in 2025, with 884 deals completed totaling $106.1 billion. This reflects a 26% increase in deal volume and a 15% increase in value compared to 2024. The growth is driven by supportive regulations, ongoing economic diversification efforts, and a disciplined approach to deal-making. The UAE and Saudi Arabia together accounted for 59% of total investments in the region. The highest activity was recorded in the technology, professional services, and diversified industrial products sectors. The UAE maintained its position as a preferred destination for foreign investors, accounting for 49% of investments.
