
Last evening, the Central Bank of the UAE announced the conduct of a tender for government bonds on October 28 of the current year. According to the said Central Bank, the tender includes four issuances of the "M-BILL" securities: the first for a term of up to 28 days for a total of up to 3000 million dirhams, the second for 42 days for a total of up to 2000 million dirhams, the third for 126 days for a total of up to 2000 million dirhams, and the fourth for 238 days for a total of up to 4000 million dirhams.
The issuance date is scheduled for October 30 of the current year, and the redemption dates are as follows: November 27, 2024, for the first issuance, December 11, 2024, for the second, March 5, 2025, for the third, and June 25, 2025, for the fourth issuance.
And here is what was stated about the conduction of the tender: "We continue to work on the development of the financial market and provide investors with the opportunity to purchase government securities through the government debt system, which contributes to a balanced management of government debt."
