The auditing bureau "B.Dabliu.Si" presented data according to which the number of bank branches operating in the United Arab Emirates decreased to 482 by the end of the first half of this year. This is a decrease of 49 branches compared to the end of December 2023.
Experts explained this trend by the transformation of banks in relation to their branch network, as well as the growing interest of clients in online banking. They noted that the reduction in the number of branches should not significantly affect access to banking services, as most operations can already be performed remotely.
The representative of the auditing bureau emphasized that banks are beginning to optimize their expenses and improve the quality of client service, including through digitization. Analyzing the given reduction, experts drew attention to the fact that banks today actively respond to changing market demands and strive to be more flexible and competitive.
