The Department of Economic Development has released a series of warnings for the protection of consumer rights from commercial fraud. In the first quarter of 2021, more than 1200 checks of the business sector were conducted, revealing numerous violations of quality and safety standards. Special attention was paid to compliance with rules and regulations that prevent harmful effects on the health of consumers.
"We strive to create a fair and competitive environment for consumers and entrepreneurs. Following the principles of transparency and fairness, we are combating unscrupulous practices in the market," stated the department representative.
It was noted that the policy of imposing penalties for violations of standards is strict: up to revocation of licenses for conducting activities. In addition, in cases of detecting offenses, violators face fines and administrative sanctions.
