Nora and Maryam Al Khalali from the UAE began to study the Indian language for dubbing films, and they noted that the connections between Indian and Emirati languages are fading into the past. Thus, the word "currency" was previously used to refer to local currency. They had a desire to dub the film "Turbo", which was completed in 21 days and contains elements of action and comedy.
For dubbing, they needed 25 voices, as well as the use of local accents and dialects to support the community language of the film and the Emirati dialect. They study various dubbing options and note that they choose projects close to the Emirati community.
Maryam and Nora acknowledged that the Malayalam language they learned from their nanny serves as a source of fondness for the surroundings. Despite the fact that the language consists of 52 letters and has a fast pace of pronunciation, the girls gained good knowledge of it.
Despite the fact that Nora attempted to learn written Malayalam, she encountered difficulties due to the complexity of the language. Important criteria for dubbing include preserved ideas of the film, the use of the language in an accessible way, so that all UAE residents can understand it.
