This coming Sunday in Dubai, the fourth cultural-geographic festival "Cultural Festival of the Mountain" will begin, organized by the Society for Socio-Cultural Development of Fujairah. The event will be held under the slogan "Dialogue of Man and Nature" at the guest house "Gornaya Obitel" in the region of Dubai al-Fujairah. The aim of the festival is to strengthen Fujairah's position as an emerging cultural hub at the Arab and international levels, to promote cultural and civilizational diversity of the emirate, revive national heritage, strengthen cultural exchange among the festival guests, and give young talents the opportunity to showcase their best creative potential.
The chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, Dr. Khalid al-Znkhani, noted that the festival's program includes cultural and artistic activities in the natural surroundings, which value love, peace, cooperation, and brotherhood among different cultures and nations, living on the territory of the UAE. Various cultural and literary themes will be touched upon through the involvement of elite poets, intellectuals, and artists from the UAE and Arab countries.
It was also announced about the awarding of the Laureate of the Prize and journalist Murda Abdallah al-Baloushi as "Honorary Personality" of this year. This recognizes his creative path. The writers' club of the UAE will become the "Honored Guest" of the festival in recognition of its contribution to the cultural movement there over the past 10 years. Members of the festival audience will meet with elite writers, poets, artists, and researchers from the UAE and other Arab countries.
