Fourth Edition of Tifân Lawl Heritage Festival

The Association of Culture and Information of the Emirate of Fujairah presents the fourth edition of the folklore festival "Tifan Lull", which will take place from February 14 to 16 in the traditional village of Diba in the Emirate of Fujairah. The executive director of the association, Naser Mohammed Al-Yamahee, noted that the main goal of the event is to strengthen the traditional culture and values of the people, preserving them in the hearts of the younger generation, as traditions are usually the foundation on which civilizations are built.

The organizers emphasized that all festival events will be held in the established association traditionally next to the mosque in the Diba area, in order to fully immerse participants in the atmosphere of the festival, which reflects the various natural zones - mountains, deserts, and seas, characteristic of the old community of Fujairah and the Emirates as a whole, especially the period from the 1960s to the 1980s of the past century.

The theme of the current festival will focus on popular expressions of different Fujairah communities and the region, with the aim of preserving and cleansing the local dialect from foreign words and expressions. In the framework of the fourth edition of "Tifan Lull," numerous unique cultural events will be presented, including traditional crafts, ancient professions, and folk dishes. Additionally, participation from various local social organizations active in the field of heritage and folklore is expected, as well as festive events, including the celebration of the night of the full moon from Sha'ban (Laylat al-Nisf Min Sha'ban) and other folk traditions. A highlight of this year will also be the presentation of "Bait al-Roaa," inspired by ancient folk traditions of the United Arab Emirates.
