Two Emirati women, Juafer Al Harmoudi and Nadjla Al Hadjri, decided to counteract the influence of digital games and social networks on youth. Their goal was to revive the spirit and joy of family and friends gatherings, strengthen human connections in society and create happy memories during such meetings. To achieve these goals, they developed a project called "Arawnd Or Fridge."
Juafer Al Harmoudi shared: "We noticed that when people gather together, everyone is busy with their mobile phones or digital games, which leads to isolation even during moments of communication with each other. We wanted to return the warmth and spirit of old gatherings."
She added that their games are suitable for different age groups and are popular during family gatherings, holidays, outings, and other events such as Ramadan or nature trips.
The project "Arawnd Or Fridge" is not just a collection of games, but a whole mission and dream of restoring traditions and joy in society. It is based on the uniqueness and belonging to the Emirati community, which is reflected in the naming and design of the games, inspired by diversity and multiculturalism of society.
Juafer emphasized that they strive to be close to people, participating in various festivals and public events, such as the Al Hasan festival, Al Sharjah Lights, Fardjan Dubai, and others, to maintain a connection with the community and convey their message about the importance of communication and traditions without screens.
