The Philippine Embassy in the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver, expressed sincere greetings to the Filipino and Muslim communities, emphasizing the value of faith, unity, and mutual respect. In his official statement, he underscored the importance of Ramadan as a time for spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and renewed obligation to understanding and compassion.

"Joining our esteemed Muslim brothers and sisters in the United Arab Emirates during the blessed month of Ramadan, may our hearts be filled with unwavering faith and deep gratitude," said Ambassador Ver, affirming the essence of this sacred month as a time for reflection and revival.

He highlighted the values of forgiveness, unity, and peace, urging all to strive towards a future of harmony, growth, and common purpose. Ambassador Ver also reiterated the obligations of the Philippine Embassy to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation among Filipinos and the UAE, a country where hundreds of thousands of Filipinos reside across the borders.

Ramadan, starting on March 1, 2025, in the UAE, is considered a holy month in Islam. It is marked by fasting from dawn to sunset, prayers, and acts of charity, reinforcing values of kindness and generosity.
