It should be stated that such words were spoken by the substitute chairperson of the UN Economic and Social Council, Munir Ghanem al-Marri - "International Women's Day - it is a global recognition of the contributions of women and their effective input in various fields." Every year on this day, it is emphasized how the UN has made significant strides in the field of women's empowerment and provided them all opportunities to showcase their capabilities in line with the corresponding mission of development and sustainable progress.
Al-Marri also praised the initiatives and efforts undertaken with the support of Her Excellency Sheikh Fatima bint Mubarak, known as "Mother of the UAE." Thanks to this participation, the UAE has become a regional leader and secured a seat in the global ranking on the gender equality index, as part of the UAE's development program.
Speaking on the topic of gender equality in various spheres of government, al-Marri also noted that an important aspect of this is the social function of women for shaping future generations, capable of promoting the country's advantages in the future and addressing its rapidly changing tasks ahead.
