Educational content specialists emphasized the importance for educational institutions to keep pace with rapid technological developments and integrate them into teaching plans, moving beyond traditional models based on information delivery towards interactive educational methods that develop students' research, analysis, and critical thinking skills. They stressed that digital educational platforms are not a competitor or substitute for educational institutions but complement their role, confirming that schools will remain the cornerstone of the educational process by providing a comprehensive educational environment that focuses on building knowledge, instilling values, and shaping students' personalities. They noted that specialists in digital educational content contribute a tangible positive impact on audiences by simplifying information, enhancing understanding, and linking theoretical knowledge with practical application. This was discussed during a session titled "How Content Creators Are Redefining Education," as part of the fourth Billion Followers Summit. The session featured Abdullah Annan, founder and CEO of the media production company "Science Street," specializing in sciences; Mishail Al-Shammiri, Director General of the Future Space Center and Vice President of the International Federation of Navigation; Architect Ahmed Ali, creator of the "Engineer" and "Best House for Egypt" series and founder of the concept of "Storytelling in Architecture"; and was moderated by Emirati content creator Saif Al-Dhahab. Abdullah Annan shared his experience in educational content creation, noting that his platform, which started with a limited number of followers, now serves hundreds of thousands of students, with about nine million students visiting it monthly. He confirmed that simplifying sciences and presenting them in an engaging style helps raise scientific awareness and improve educational outcomes. He also explained that his experience in producing a complete science curriculum in Egypt contributed to raising student levels and achieving high viewership and engagement rates. Mishail Al-Shammiri, in turn, clarified that creating specialized content in Arabic about space sciences was initially a challenge, but simplifying concepts helped attract a wide audience of non-specialists and instill a passion for science among new groups of followers. She believes that the goal of scientific content is not limited to transferring knowledge but extends to stimulating scientific curiosity and encouraging continuous learning. Architect Ahmed Ali touched upon his experience in promoting engineering knowledge, noting that his beginnings on social media aimed to spread architectural awareness outside classrooms and offer practical solutions related to daily life details, such as dealing with traffic congestion, extreme heat, and home cooling methods. He confirmed that digital engineering content helps transfer knowledge and offer practical solutions for a better daily life. The fourth Billion Followers Summit is seeing wide participation, with attendance exceeding 30,000 people, over 15,000 content creators, and around 500 speakers followed by more than 3.5 billion people worldwide. It also hosts 150 CEOs and global experts and features over 580 main sessions, roundtables, and interactive workshops.
