Yasir Al-Qarqawi, General Manager of the Watan Fund, confirmed that the 'Inspiration Lab for Artificial Intelligence' represents one of the fund's flagship projects aimed at fostering a culture of innovation and future thinking among the new generation, and enabling students to harness AI technologies to realize their potential and explore the capabilities of this technology, in line with the vision of the United Arab Emirates, which places human beings at the heart of development and bets on youth as the makers of the future. He explained that the 'Inspiration Lab' program is one of the fund's projects, targeting students aged 12 to 18, with the aim of stimulating young minds to explore the potential of artificial intelligence and transform their ideas into innovative projects and initiatives that benefit them and enhance their capabilities, while directly serving vital sectors of society, such as health, humanitarian work, culture, heritage, and the environment. Al-Qarqawi also noted that the fund is keen for the program to go beyond providing theoretical knowledge and focuses on practical learning, giving students a real opportunity to design practical applications based on artificial intelligence, which boosts their confidence in their abilities and instills in them a spirit of initiative and responsibility. He added that the program ran from July 2025 to January of this year, providing participants with a sufficient timeframe for learning, experimenting, and developing, pointing out that this cycle attracted 196 high school students, in affirmation of the values of openness and diversity that characterize Emirati society. The participants were selected from among the top graduates of the 'Imagination Cup' program.
