
Between the Fond of Atomic Energy of the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Youth Center, an Agreement on Cooperation in the field of nuclear research and development was signed, aimed at strengthening the role of youth in the nuclear energy sector through the implementation of targeted and joint initiatives in various areas.
In signing the Agreement, Dr. Sultan bin Saif al-Niyadi, Deputy Chairman of the Arab Youth Center, and Executive Director of the Atomic Energy Fond of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed Ibrahim al-Hamadi, participated. Al-Niyadi noted the important role of institutions in supporting government efforts to involve youth in various socially important sectors, identifying talents, and supporting creative potential.
He also emphasized that collaboration presents opportunities for employment, training, and investments in projects or innovations for youth in the nuclear energy sector, benefiting them and their countries, and also helping to address challenges related to energy security and reducing the consequences of climate change.
Al-Hamadi noted that from the moment the program of peaceful nuclear energy development in the UAE was launched, great attention is paid to the development of national cadres in this advanced scientific and technical sector to ensure the sustainability of the program through the development of future nuclear energy leaders in the UAE.
According to the Memorandum on Cooperation, the Center for Cooperation with the Atomic Energy Fund of the United Arab Emirates aims to utilize talents and experience from both sides, develop effective use of common facilities, resources, and projects, and also create common educational programs and master classes for developing knowledge and skills.
