Participants also delved into developing national cybersecurity strategies, engaging stakeholders, and understanding the international landscape of cyber diplomacy.
Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, praised the program as a milestone in empowering women in cybersecurity, with credit attributed to the visionary leadership of the UAE and the support of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. The event also reviewed ongoing UN discussions on cybersecurity and global standards for state conduct in cyberspace.
Noura Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the GWU, highlighted the UAE's significant role in cybersecurity at regional and global levels, emphasizing the importance of empowering women in technology and policy to establish a secure digital environment safeguarding national achievements. The General Women's Union, in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union and the UAE Cybersecurity Council, concluded a two-day international training program aimed at empowering women in cybersecurity governance and diplomacy at the GWU headquarters.
