The Nakanoon club "Sokoly" from the UAE celebrated the International Day of Falconry, established by UNESCO on November 16 every year. The club's General Secretary Majid Ali al-Mansouri noted that thanks to the support of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the development of the sector under the supervision of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, falconry can now be seen in 90 countries, where more than 100,000 falconers are engaged legally.
"Thanks to efforts, particularly those of the UAE over many years, it has been possible to recognize UNESCO as humanity's heritage more than 14 years ago," noted al-Mansouri.
