
After submitting the application for replacement, you will receive an SMS from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) with information about the status of your request and the expected delivery date of the new identity card.
To begin the replacement process, fill out the application form. Then, visit the nearest ICP Customer Service Center to immediately block your lost or stolen card.
Be prepared to pay the required fees for the replacement of the identity card: 300 AED for a lost or damaged card, 70 AED (through data collection centers) or 40 AED (through the electronic form on the ICA website) as a fee for the application. If you wish to receive the identity card urgently, you may opt for the express replacement service for an additional 150 AED at the main ICA Customer Service Center.
Citizens and residents of the UAE need to obtain an identity card from the UAE — an official document issued by the government. If you choose the express replacement service, you will receive the new identity card within 24 hours.
Upon receiving the notification, contact Emirates Post to receive your new card. All new identity cards are typically issued within 48 hours.
