The international group "Kalamata" has united with "Nestle OAE" with the support of the Ministry of Health and Community Prevention to launch a humanitarian and cultural initiative titled "The World of Histories." The aim of the project is to establish 120 libraries in children's departments and play zones of hospitals and medical centers throughout the Emirates, with a focus on strengthening the obligation of the group towards the development of children and promoting knowledge even in challenging conditions.
The initiative aims to satisfy the needs of children in medical institutions, in affluent and stimulating environments, combining education and psychological support through the presentation of diverse material in the form of stories and educational materials, stimulating reading and research, and alleviating the consequences of treatment.
"This initiative reflects our obligation to develop children and strengthen their educational opportunities in conditions when they face health or social challenges. We believe that a book is a true friend of a child on his journey to recovery and growth," noted Ahmed Ali, general director of the "Kalamata" group.
"We base our mission on the need to improve the quality of life today and for future generations. This partnership with the "Kalamata" group, with the support of the Ministry of Health and Community Prevention, carries out this mission through the support of children with the help of educational stories, inspiring them towards a healthy life," added Hasan Attia, general director of the "Nestle OAE" company.
The initiative serves as a model of social innovative collaboration between the cultural and private sectors and supports national efforts to ensure a comprehensive educational and cultural environment in hospitals, emphasizing the role of reading in improving the quality of life and aiding in the psychological recovery of children.
