UAE Regulator Warns of Digital Identity Fraud

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has urged the public to exercise caution when using digital identity services. The authority emphasized that official entities never ask users to log in to their accounts or share sensitive information under any circumstances. TDRA clarified that some scammers resort to sophisticated fraudulent methods to trick victims into revealing their data. Through its account on 'X', the authority warned against sharing any personal data or the verification code (Code) issued by the digital identity application. It stated that this code is a critical verification method that enables access to government services and official transactions, and disclosing it could lead to account hacking or identity theft.
