
The story of the scientist began with the statement of the President of the United Nations Society for Oncology, Dr. Hamid El-Shamsi, that 12% of all cases of oncological diseases in the country are lung cancer.
"Lung cancer remains one of the most common types of cancer among women in the UAE," the doctor emphasized. "There are several risk factors, such as heredity, improper nutrition, alcohol, smoking, and a sedentary lifestyle, which should be carefully monitored and studied for prevention and combating this type of cancer."
In his address, Dr. Hamid El-Shamsi also noted that early detection of breast cancer has a decisive significance for successful treatment. "Regular medical examinations and awareness of one's body can help improve the diagnosis and survival of patients who are faced with this disease," he added.
