Dr. Sultan al-Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the UAE, stated: "We are pleased to announce the launch of the Industry 2040 program, which represents a strategic initiative aimed at the development of the country's industrial sector. This program will strengthen our economic diversity and contribute to the creation of jobs, while also supporting the UAE's aspiration to become one of the leading global industrial centers."
He added: "The Industry 2040 program is built on four main pillars, including improving infrastructure to ensure access to advanced technologies, stimulating innovation, enhancing collaboration between the public and private sectors, and also supporting export-oriented industrial companies."
Speaking at the ceremony dedicated to the program launch, Dr. al-Jaber emphasized the importance of sustainable industrial growth in the post-COVID period and the confidence in the UAE's ability to achieve success in this area.
