The United Arab Emirates has announced the formation of the 'UAE Youth Council for Culture and National Identity 2026-2028'. Established by the Federal Youth Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the council will serve as a national interactive platform to empower youth and enhance their participation in the cultural sector. It aims to effectively involve young people in the design and implementation of cultural programs and events locally and internationally, as well as activate their role in preserving and promoting the national identity through innovative approaches that align with the aspirations of future generations. The council comprises 16 members representing the nation's elite young talents in creativity and culture, including traditional crafts, theater, music, literature, fine arts, cinema, and national heritage. The council's tasks include launching initiatives to boost cultural dynamism, organizing quarterly dialogues with culture and arts pioneers, implementing specialized training programs, and participating in official overseas visits to exchange expertise and build strategic partnerships. The council aims to solidify youth presence in the cultural scene, offer initiatives and content that enhance identity and heritage, and develop new talents capable of leading creative industries in the future.
