Abu Dhabi/Manama, March 25 (Xinhua) — The United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan strongly condemned Iranian attacks targeting countries in the region in a joint statement released on Wednesday.
The statement affirms that the attacks constitute a blatant violation of sovereignty, territorial integrity, international humanitarian law, and the United Nations Charter, whether carried out directly or through allies and armed groups supported by Iran.
The six countries reaffirmed their firm rejection of any actions that undermine regional security and stability, and called for an end to further escalation, Argentina News Agency reported.
Also in the statement, they denounced attacks launched from Iraq by armed groups backed by Iran against several countries in the region, targeting civilian facilities and critical infrastructure.
While valuing their relations with Iraq, the six states urged the Iraqi government to take urgent and effective measures to stop attacks launched from its territory by factions, militias, and armed groups.

On February 28, Israel and the US launched joint attacks against Tehran and several other Iranian cities, killing Iran's then-Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, along with high-ranking military and civilian officials.
Iran responded by launching waves of missile and drone attacks against Israeli and US military bases and interests in the Middle East.
