Football player and captain of the former club 'Nasr' Adel Taarabt gave his first interview after the decision of the management to terminate his contract after two seasons with the team.
Taarabt wrote in his post on social media 'Instagram': "I sincerely thank the management of the 'Nasr' club, my teammates, the training staff and administrative personnel, as well as all the workers of the great 'Nasr' for the support and encouragement that I received during the previous period."
He added: "Fans of 'Sinih', I was glad to represent you for two seasons, I tried as the captain of the team to do everything possible to please you, achieve your expectations and hopes. I am truly grateful for your love, support, and inspiration. All these wonderful memories with you will remain in my heart, with your help and the support of 'Nasr' I will rise to the top again."
Taarabt missed training for three days before the end of the contract and did not attend the match 'Nasr' with 'Ain' of the 13th round of the championship, which ended with the club's defeat with a score of 1:4, which caused wide discussions about a possible conflict between the player and the club.
'Nasr' stated in an official announcement: "An agreement has been reached between 'Nasr Football Club' and player Adel Taarabt regarding the termination of the labor contract between them. 'Nasr' sincerely thanks the player for the time spent in the club, wishing him all the best and success in his football career."
Taarabt played for 'Nasr' 55 matches in the championship since joining the club in the 2022-2023 season, scoring 21 goals and helping the team reach the final of the President's Cup last season before suffering a defeat to 'Vasla', and also winning the Qatar Super League Cup. In the current season, he played 11 matches, scored 7 goals, and made 3 assists, being one of the key players of the team.
