In the Gantut club, matches of the 24th annual International Championship in polo in the UAE have started. The tournament is organized by the Gantut club with the support of Sheikh Falaha bin Zaid al Nahyan, the president of the club, and with the participation of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, together with the Polo Association and with the support of various organizations and companies. Competitions will take place from January 26 to February 8.
The first match of the championship, held at the Sultan bin Zaid stadium, was between the defending champion team Gantut and the Al-Basha team, which made its debut in the tournament. The match ended with a victory for the Gantut team with a score of 5.5:5 goals. The first chukker ended with a score of 1.5:1 in favor of Gantut, and then both teams continued to fight at a sufficiently high level.
