Adnan Al Hayal, who originally began his sporting career in basketball, has completed his impressive journey as a sportsman, winning a gold medal in the 'Classics Physique' category at the World Championship for culturism, which took place in December of last year in Tokyo, Japan.

Al Hayal started his sports career in basketball, where he performed as a player and administrator for the Sharjah basketball team. However, after ending his playing career in basketball in 2015, he transitioned to the hobby of culturism, prior to which his passion for competitions led him to pursue this professional activity in this sport.

"The passion and love for competition drove me to take up culturism and soon achieve my first success by winning the championship (Middle East) in Dubai in 2018, after which I gradually began to participate in regional and international competitions," Al Hayal said in an interview with the newspaper 'Emirates Today'.

He emphasized the importance of overcoming challenges and giving back, with which artists are confronted in their daily lives, especially those who have jobs that require many working hours.

"Maintaining a diet is one of the biggest challenges, particularly in gaining high levels of muscle mass to increase strength during regular training or in the toughest stages, known as (cutting), and lowering the level of fluid retention in the body, allowing for participation in competitions over a two-month period," he added.

Hayal is focused on recovering from shoulder and spine injuries and hopes to achieve the necessary readiness for the upcoming Asian Championship, which will be held in June in Ajman.
