The manager of the Shabab Al-Ahli football club, Khalid Al-Kaabi, confirmed that all teams strive to win them after the team became the champion at the beginning of the season. This is normal and may create some pressure on players in certain matches. Nevertheless, the most important thing is that the team continues to strive for victories in all tournaments in which it participates.
At present, Shabab Al-Ahli has secured victories in two tournaments (the local Super Cup and the Trophy of the President of Emirates in the context of the Super Cup OAE - Qatar) and is currently participating in four tournaments: the local Championship, the Asian Champions League, the President's Cup of Emirates, and the Islamic Bank Abu Dhabi Cup.
Khalid Al-Kaabi stated for "Emirates Today": "All accompanying teams' structures are working on preparing players for various matches and tournaments, and we thank all players for the efforts they put on the field, the positive attitude they demonstrate."
He added: "There are no important and unimportant tournaments; we play every match separately, and the players do not think about upcoming games, focusing exclusively on the current match. We understand that our fans expect victories in every match and tournament in which our team participates."
