The club "Al-Arabi" has signed contracts with all eight new players during the current winter transfer window, preparing for the start of the second round of matches of the First League, whose games will begin after the winter break. The new players are expected to strengthen the team for successful performances in competitions.
Among the new signings are three defenders, two midfielders, and three forwards. Particularly important is the contract with Brazilian defender Joãozinho Jesus, who previously played for "Dibba Al-Hisn". In addition to him, they have signed the experienced player Khalfan an-Nobi and Egyptian defender Abdelrahman Dirgham from "Dibba Al-Fujairah", Syrian Mohammed Anas, and Brazilian Josi Oltan from the Portuguese league, as well as footballers from Jordan, Lebanon, and Ghana.
"Al-Arabi" currently occupies second place in the league table with 27 points, trailing only two points behind the leading "Fujairah".
General Director of "Al-Arabi" Mahmud al-Balushi emphasized that the goal of the new contracts is to improve the team composition and ensure a high level of performance for the continuation of the collective's existence and competition for a place in the Professional League.
Al-Balushi expressed satisfaction with the team's results in the first round of the championship and emphasized that the 27 gathered points have not appeared out of nowhere, but are the result of quality preparation and high gaming form of all players.
He noted that the losses to "Fujairah" and the draw with "Zafra" in the last two matches were associated with the period of winter transfers, which complicated the team’s cohesion. Nevertheless, Al-Balushi confirmed that the team continues to steadily develop and improve its game in line with the set goals.
He concluded that the training staff does everything possible to prepare the team for each match, and the fight for promotion to the Professional League is the common goal of all club members. However, the main task for the club is to continue the development of the collective and provide spectators with exciting games.
