The administration of the Football Association of the UAE announced that the national team will participate in the first championship for football among the Persian Gulf legends. The tournament will be held by the Arab Football Association of the Persian Gulf and will take place in Kuwait from February 20 to 24, 2025. Eight teams will participate in the event, which have been divided into two groups: UAE, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar in Group A, and Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Bahrain, and Yemen in Group B.
The Football Association formed the training and administrative staff of the national team. The chief coach for the tournament was named as Juma Rabi, the assistant became the national coach Valid Abid, Muhammad Abid Hamad has become the managing team, and Abdulkadir Hassan is the administrative staff member.
