Italian cyclist Jonathan Milan claimed victory in the fourth stage of the UAE Tour 2025, a thrilling competition held in Umm Al-Quwain. Milan outpaced Belgian rivals in the final moments of the race, solidifying his position in the overall standings.

Italian Jonathan Milan won the fourth stage of the Tour de OAE 2025, which took place yesterday. This international race is held in the Middle East and is unique in its kind in this region. Milan, representing the Lidl Trek team, secured his second victory at the Tour de OAE after his win in the first stage in Zafra. Milan's victory in the stage, finishing in the Emirates Umm al-Quwain, was sealed in a sprint with the sprinters from Belgium - Tim Merlier and Jasper Philipsen. Milan covered 181 kilometers in 4:03:01 hours, outpacing Merlier, the champion of Europe, and Philipsen at the finish. "Milan found himself in a sufficiently strong position at the last kilometer to break away from Merlier, but at the last moment European champion Philipsen accelerated, getting closer to the young Italian sprinter, who holds the leading position in this stage with a minimal gap," noted the commentator. The rider retains the red jersey (under the patronage of Global Holding) and heads for the title of Tour de OAE winner, which he won in 2021 and 2022. The hierarchy in the general classification remained unchanged after the stage. Italian Jonathan Milan won the green jersey (under the patronage of Mubadala), raising his points to 41, surpassing the general classification leader Tadej Pogačar by all points. British Joshua Tarling retained the white jersey (under the patronage of Nakheel) for the best young rider under 23 years. The black jersey (under the patronage of Aldar) for the best time trialist in the stage was taken in stage four by Dordi Gorich from the Solution Tech team Vanni Fantini.
