The national team of the OAED for beach football started preparation camp in Thailand today, which will last until March 18, before participating in the final stage of the Asian Cup. The tournament will take place in Thailand from March 20 to March 30. During the camp, the team will conduct a series of friendly matches before the start of the tournament, where they will compete in Group Three with Iran, Afghanistan, and Indonesia.
The first two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, and the top three teams of the tournament will receive quotas to participate in the World Beach Soccer Championship "Seychelles 2025". The coaching staff led by Brazilian Victor Vasquez announced a list of 18 players for the camp, which will be reduced to 12 before the tournament.
The list includes players such as Hamid Jamali, Mohammad Al-Djasimi, Abdulrahman Mohammad, Sultan Al-Bloshi, Walid Mohammad, Ali Mohammad, Walid Bushr, Ahmed Bushr, Mohammad Abid, Rashid Abid, Kamal Ali, Abbas Ali, Abdulba Abbas, Rashid Ayd, Jassim Ahmed, Musab Omar, Osman Safar, Ahmed Mohammad.
The national team began preparations back in November last year after finishing second in the international tournament "Neom" in Saudi Arabia, where the Brazil national team won.
The preparation included matches with teams from Senegal, Bahrain, Belarus, Saudi Arabia, as well as a foreign team in Bahrain.
On the other hand, the National Olympic Committee announced the participation of the OAED in the third Beach Games of the Persian Gulf, which will take place in the capitals of Oman and Muscat from April 7 to April 11. This tournament will feature competitions in beach football.
