New Appointment to Boost UAE Badminton

The UAE Badminton Federation has appointed Danish coach Michael Nørbak as Technical Director to enhance preparations for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles and the Youth Olympics in Dakar. Nørbak brings over 30 years of experience, aiming to elevate athlete performance and foster success in upcoming competitions.


New Appointment to Boost UAE Badminton

The Badminton Association has announced the appointment of Michael Norbaka as the director of high-performance sports, which is a key moment for badminton in the OAE. The Danish specialist will work on preparing for participation in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, as well as the Summer Olympic Games for youth in Dakar next year. The president of the association, Nura Al-Dzhamzi, expressed joy over the appointment of Norbaka and supported the assistance from the Ministry of Sports in raising the level and development of badminton in the country. The new technical director will work on developing the game of sportsmen’s mastery and improving their sports skills. Michael Norbaka has more than 30 years of experience in coaching and previously successfully worked with the youth national team of Denmark, as well as trained sportsmen who have achieved Olympic and world medals.
