The futsal team Al-Bataeh secured a place for themselves in the quarterfinals of the Futsal League, defeating their opponent from Dibba Al-Hisn with a score of 103-73. At the same time, Al-Wasl advanced in the qualifier, beating Al-Wahda 86-79.
In the additional stage, which took place in December of last year, the youth teams Al-Ahli, Al-Sharjah, and Al-Nasr emerged, securing the top three spots in the preliminary stage. Meanwhile, other teams, occupying the spots from fourth to seventh - Al-Bataeh, Al-Wasl, Al-Wahda, and Dibba Al-Hisn, will compete in the quarterfinals to determine the quarterfinalists, including the winner of the golden ticket.
Al-Bataeh, having claimed fourth place in the preliminary stage, abided by the tournament rules and received an automatic win in the first game against Dibba Al-Hisn, who took the seventh place. After this, they secured a victory in the return match and are now awaiting the winner of the match between Al-Wasl and Al-Wahda. The match dates are known - the return game will take place next Sunday, and the decisive game - on the 12th of this month.
Al-Bataeh easily secured a victory over Dibba Al-Hisn, controlling the game throughout all four quarters with scores of 29-26, 24-12, 28-19, 22-16. On the other side, Al-Wasl managed to guarantee a victory, only trailing in the first and fourth quarters with scores of 25-18 and 21-14, respectively. Al-Wahda displayed a stronger game in the second and third quarters; however, this did not help them overturn the course of the match.
