48 teams from universities advance to the quarter-finals in football, basketball, and volleyball competitions for students in the framework of the first edition of the university games. The advancement comes after the qualification that lasted several months, witnessing the participation of 1585 male and female students from 28 different universities.
The 48 advancing teams represent 28 universities, and they are ready to compete in the quarter-final stage. This is considered the largest sporting event at the university level in the United Arab Emirates, organized by Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and the UAE Sports Federation for educational institutions, supported by the association of Solutions+ and a group of M B M I.
In this context, a representative from the organizing committee stated: "We are proud of the level that the competitions have reached so far, and we look forward to exciting and thrilling encounters in the quarter-final stage. We encourage all the advancing teams to make their best efforts and showcase their outstanding athletic performance."
