The UAE Pro League (UAE League) is being held on the residual blessed month of Ramadan after the conclusion of the 21st round, which took place last Saturday and Sunday. Matches will resume on the 22nd round following the holiday of Al-Fitr on April 5 and 6. Results from the last round brought victory for 'Uniteed' over Dubai (3-0), while shortly after, Al-Emirates (3-2), Majd over Al-Arabi (3-1), and Khatta over Msafut (1-0) were recorded. The only exception was the match, where Al-Jazira played a draw with Al-Dhafra without goals, and 'Gulf Uniteed' with 'Fujairah' (2-2).
Al-Dhafra strengthened its leadership in the table, gaining 43 points, followed by Fujairah (38), Dubai (34), and Al-Arabi and 'Uniteed' (33). Khatta has 31 points, while Al-Emirates has 30. Next in line are Zayed (22), Msafut (20), Al-Jazeera (17), 'Gulf Uniteed' (16), Al-Hamriya (15), Majd (14), and 'Gulf FK' with six points.
These two rounds, which took place in the month of Ramadan (20th and 21st), featured some artistic moments that introduced new aspects, as well as unexpected results due to the reduction of results from some teams striving for promotion to the Adnok League, and the achievements of other teams with unexpected successes.
'Al-Dhafra' continues to lead, achieving four valuable points in the last two rounds, defeating Dubai (3-1) and drawing with Al-Jazira, which brings them closer to rising in the professional league, increasing their gap from Dubai by 9 points. Al-Dhafra has 43 points compared to 34 points for Dubai from seven matches, which precede Al-Dhafra.
Dubai suffered two consecutive defeats - against Al-Dhafra (1-3) and 'Uniteed' (0-3), losing six valuable points. The results proved unpredictable due to the high potential of Dubai and successful results in previous matches, along with injuries before the games.
'Fujairah' lost four potentially easily available points, drawing against two teams, which in strength according to their football potential are - Hamriyah (0-0) and 'Gulf Uniteed' (2-2), but nevertheless maintained second place, taking advantage of the fact that Dubai and Al-Arabi lost.
'Uniteed' and 'Majd' managed to win all their matches in Ramadan, obtaining full points. 'Uniteed' defeated Khatta (5-3) and Dubai (3-0), while 'Majd' secured victories over Msafut (2-0) and Al-Arabi (3-1).
The Dutch player of 'Uniteed', Quinci Promes, was the most resultative in matches during Ramadan, scoring 3 goals in each game against Khatta and Dubai, which raised his total goal count to 11 in 15 matches. However, the leadership among bombers is held by the French Sandar Benbaci from Fujairah with 16 goals in 19 matches.
'Al-Arabi' has the highest goal percentage in this season of the first league, winning against 'Gulf FK' with a score of 7:0 in a previous round, and 11 teams have avoided defeats in the last two rounds of victories or draws, while Dubai, Msafut, and 'Gulf FK' could not achieve positive results.
A series of victories for 'Sokols' ended after the defeat of 'Emirates' from 'Zayed' 2:3 in the 21st round, completing five consecutive wins in the first league. The victory of Khatta over Al-Emirates became the fourth over the rivals that lead them in their football potential.
The competitions will resume in the remaining days of Ramadan, to resume on the 22nd round on April 5 and 6.
