Nemat Abbas, a former coach of the youth team of the "Al-Vasl" club, confirmed that youth teams in the UAE have talented players with technical and physical abilities that will help them become competitive players in the near future.
"I am paying attention to the matches of youth leagues and I see that there are a significant number of young talents in the position of goalkeeper who have suitable height, physical form and greater ambitions to become outstanding goalkeepers. Their development and support will create a foundation for the emergence of the best goalkeepers in the near future," Abbas noted.
To develop talented goalkeepers, it is necessary to attract qualified coaches to work with the goalkeepers, as it is important to ensure that young goalkeepers have good technical and mental training, which strengthens their confidence in themselves.
It is noteworthy that the identification and development of young goalkeepers should be a priority for the clubs' administrations, Abbas pointed out, noting that the costs for this process are significantly less than inviting foreign goalkeepers for youth levels.
Many clubs in the UAE have succeeded in developing goalkeepers, thanks to the application of global standards in their identification and training, which led to the emergence of outstanding talents in the football environment of the UAE. Abbas emphasized that the goalkeeper of the national youth team and "Al-Vasl" Mohamad Naser has a bright future in the football of the country, after the success of qualifying for the next World Cup, adding that he trained Naser when he was 10 years old.
