The UAE Volleyball Federation postponed the Men's Super Cup preliminary round due to weather. Eight clubs will compete, with the winners advancing to the next stage.


Volleyball Super Cup Preliminary Round Postponed in UAE

United Arab Emirates. The United Arab Emirates Volleyball Federation has announced the postponement of the preliminary round of the Men's Volleyball Super Cup, the third competition of the 2025-2026 season. Eight clubs will participate: Al-Nasr, Ajman, Al-Jazira, Hatta, Bani Yas, Al-Wasl, Al-Ain, and Shabab Al-Ahli. The federation decided to hold the preliminary round on April 4th instead of tomorrow, Friday, due to adverse weather conditions. The preliminary stage will feature four strong matches starting at 7:00 PM on April 4th. Bani Yas will face Al-Wasl at the Al-Ain Club hall, Al-Jazira will play Hatta at the Al-Wasl Club hall, Al-Nasr will take on Ajman at the Mleiha Club hall, and Al-Ain will face Shabab Al-Ahli at the Al-Jazira Club hall. The four winning teams will advance to the second stage, which will be held in a round-robin format at the home venue of the highest-ranked qualifier. The champion will be the team that tops the standings at the end of the competition. The current edition is the 11th in the history of the Men's Super Cup, whose titles have been contested by four clubs: Al-Shabab (3 titles), Bani Yas (3 titles), Shabab Al-Ahli (2 titles), and Al-Nasr (2 titles). Bani Yas was crowned champion of the 2024-2025 season after defeating Al-Nasr 3-1 in the final round of the round-robin stage, held at the Bani Yas Club hall. Al-Jazira finished as the runner-up, Shabab Al-Ahli took third place, and Al-Nasr came in fourth.
