In today's match of the AFC Champions League 2021, on Tuesday, the club "Al-Wasl" from the UAE defeated the Qatari club "Al-Gharafa" with a score of 2:1 after two extensions in the second half and climbed to fifth place in the overall tournament ranking with six points.

"Al-Gharafa" took the lead thanks to a goal from Tunisian player Ferjani Sassi, who took advantage of a mistake made by "Al-Wasl" defender Kharis Severovich, leaving the ball in the 44th minute.

However, "Al-Wasl" did not give up and snatched a draw in the second half after a penalty earned by Fabio Lima, who shot the ball towards the goal, where it collided with the hand of defender Abdulla Yousuf. The referee of the match, Korean referee Hyun Jang Ko, made the decision via VAR, and the penalty was realized by Fabio in the 83rd minute. At the end of added time, substitutes Issak Saxis used a pass from Gimenes and scored the second goal for "Al-Wasl" in the 90+2 minute.
