Legionnaire from Al-Jazira club, Argentine Ramon Mirez, confirmed that former star player "Shahr Abu-Dhabi" played a significant role in his transition to the team at the beginning of the current season from the Kropotkin Osieka.
"When I received the offer from Al-Jazira club last summer transfer window, I contacted my compatriot Manuel Lanzini to know his opinion, and he advised me to agree right away.
I am happy to be here and to participate in the Al-Jazira league. This is my first appearance in this region, and for my development, it is very important, considering the high level of the team here," said Mirez.
He also expressed joy that his transition took place and talked about the support he received during this difficult experience from his family.
Answering the question about the differences he noticed in the UAE, Mirez noted that there are no particular opponents for him; overall, he feels happy.
Despite an unsuccessful start to the season, the team began to improve, and Mirez believes that if they continue to play at this level, as in September and October, they will fight for the title of champions.
The Argentine also paid attention to the performance of Al-Jazira in the current season, noting the improvement in the quality of play and concluded that the deciding moment was the game against Shardzhi, which was not successful, primarily due to the removal of one of the players.
"It seemed that we couldn't bounce back after this defeat, but the team showed strength and managed to win three matches, and then beat Vasil. This is a good result against the champion, and although we aimed for victory, I consider it a long season, and we need to be more concentrated in the upcoming stages, when the competition will become even tougher," Mirez added.
