Ahmed Al-Raisey highlighted the success of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament in boosting community sports participation, aiming for 10,000 participants this year.

The guide of the higher authority of the sporting championships in Ajman Ahmed Al-Reisi highlighted the important role played by these championships in promoting public sports in the emirate of Ajman. He noted that the committee aims to increase the number of participants in the current edition to 10,000 people compared to six thousand participants in the previous year.

Al-Reisi expressed admiration for the level of public activity at football and beach volleyball matches, national games, and also in the presence of families and their active participation in various sporting events. He noted that the support and direction of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Crown Prince of Ajman, propose the development of sports activities and strengthening Ajman’s presence on the sporting events calendar and public activities.

The chairman noted that in the fifth edition, the number of activities increased to 12, new activities were added, such as CrossFit and football competitions among youths, as well as historical craft activities to satisfy various tastes and fulfill the desires of community members. The objective is to increase the number of participants from six thousand to ten thousand, as well as attracting more participants to the cycling and running events, which take place on the 10th and 11th of Ramadan.

In contrast, within the framework of the fifth edition of the Ajman championships, the football matches continue under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. On the second day of the second round, the match between the Department of Land and Survey teams and the Ajman Brigade ended in a draw of 1-1. Thus, the Department of Land and Survey gathered 4 points, while the Brigade obtained its first point in the tournament.

The Port team and customs achieved their second victory in a row, this time defeating the Ajman University team with a score of 1:0. Customs amassed 6 points, while the University remained with one point. The Bank of Ajman joined the Port and Customs teams, also achieving its second victory in the championships, defeating the Federal Agency for Identification and Citizenship with a score of 2:1. Thus, the Bank of Ajman gathered 6 points, while the Identification and Citizenship Agency remained without points.
